Zenchine is a combination of Zen and Machine, but the poetry is not mechanically created. Some early image meditation looked at the beauty in machinery.

The birth of Zenchine

Zenchine was created as a Twitter account and posted the following Issa Haiku on April 16, 2008 at 16:39:57 PST

World like a dewdrop – though it’s only a dewdrop – even so, even so. –Issa

Soon after a few more famous Haiku, Zenchine became a place of amateur haiku and the occasional tanka and the very occasional longer poem.
